Western Living Magazine 2018 Designer of the Year finalist

This year we were honoured to be named as a finalist in the Western Living Designer of the Year for Landscape Design. This category was very competitive with most entries coming from the Vancouver area. We were thrilled to be part of such a amazing group of designers and to represent Alberta in the finalist group.

Forced Walkouts

A forced walkout can create great opportunities, but can be difficult to visualize before it is constructed.  If the walls can be stepped and extended out away from the house, it allows really good light in to basement spaces, and provides an interesting view that can be geared to all seasons.  

Westbrook School Courtyard Revitalization

After collaborating with the students and staff at Westbrook Elementary School in Edmonton, we took a space that was overgrown and under used and turned it into an interactive outdoor classroom.  The space tells a story about the province of Alberta.  The water feature symbolizes the Rocky Mountains in the west (created by Metal Urges), the wheat impressions symbolize the farming all across Alberta and the art installation in the north-east corner represents the northern lights (created by Terry Frost),… More
